- Touché Point scores fencing bouts. The people using it are a referee with one free hand, a coach tracking three strips at once, and a parent who has never seen a piste before and cannot tell who just won the point. Those three need different things from the same screen.
- Competitive fencing already has scoring hardware, and it is excellent and expensive. The app is not trying to replace the box. It is trying to be the thing a club can run on a phone at a Saturday regional where there are nine strips and two working machines.
- The app layout is means to be easy and intuitive where the referee can easily call the outcome and change the score or time without needing to stare at the screen.

- The app iconography needed to be inclusive of all three weapon types to signify the apps ability to score and facilitate for any weapon type.
- The previews for the app store show off the main capabilities; dark and light mode, weapon type switching, pool or individual bout scoring, and bout sharing.
